Service Opportunities
As Christians, we recognize that to be like Christ, we must pour out our love for those around us. In light of this, listed below are great opportunities throughout the area to serve others.
This list is not comprehensive. If you are aware of other ministry opportunities in the area that you feel should be listed, send us the details about the ministry and we’ll do our best to get it included!
Hearts United
Volunteers may help interviewing clients for determining needs as well as emergency assistance. One day a week or month volunteers may sort, price, and hang clothing donations. Volunteers who would like to greet the public may work the register and wait on clients. Building and grounds maintenance is also needed.

Love Packages
Love packages is a ministry aimed at putting Christian literature and bibles into the hands of people around the world. Volunteers may help in painting/repairs, office work, packing literature shipments, and many other tasks around the Love Packages facility.

LSC maintenance and development
There is usually a diverse list of tasks that need to be done around the church building – your help would be appreciated! If you would like to help us out with anything from weeding to small building repairs, there is probably a job for you.

LSC Sunday Morning Fellowship
Volunteers may help by preparing food, serving and clean up. It is a great way to serve and meet people at church you may not ordinarily meet. Volunteers may range in age from middle school to senior adults.

Children’s Ministry assistant
Volunteers may help during special events such as Family Night or the children’s play. We can use help with organizing supplies and helping with the maintenance of bulletin boards. Each summer, volunteers could help out with Vacation Bible School as well.

Nursing Home Worship Services
At least four times each year, LSC volunteers go each several area nursing homes on Sunday afternoon to have worship services for the residents. Please contact us if you would like to be involved in this ministry.

Gathering Neighbors
This LSC ministry operates April through December in Common Grounds (LSC coffee shop). Volunteers may help by bringing food and helping serve. For specific times and opportunities, please contact the church office.
